Food Type For Goats
Pygmy goats primarily eat hay and grass as their main source of nutrition. They also benefit from having access to fresh water at all times. In addition to hay and grass, they can be fed small amounts of high-quality goat feed, which typically contains a combination of grains, minerals, and vitamins. Fresh vegetables such as carrots, lettuce, and cucumbers can be given as treats in moderation. However, it's important to note that their diet should be primarily based on hay and grass to ensure their overall health and wellbeing.
Behavior between male and female
Males tend to be more dominant and assertive. They often display territorial behavior, marking their territory with urine and engaging in head-butting contests to establish dominance within the herd. Bucks can also be more aggressive during breeding season, displaying increased vocalization and chasing females. On the other hand, females, are generally more docile and nurturing. They exhibit a maternal instinct, taking care of their young and showing affection towards them. Does are also known for their social nature, often forming strong bonds with other females in the herd. Overall, while males tend to be more dominant and assertive, females display a nurturing and social demeanor.
